PGA Director of Golf trainee

As the Club Professional at The Halifax Bradley Hall Golf Club, I have over 20 years of experience within the golf industry, I am passionate about the game of golf and this shows in my enthusiasm in my day to day working environment as a Club Professional.
I am fairly local to Halifax as I learned how to play the game at Baildon Golf Club, my father introduced me to the game at the age of 9. Very much a golfing family, my Father was a low handicap golfer like my eldest brother who also won the British junior long driving championship. Both  my sisters play and have very respectable handicaps.

Player, teacher, club fitter, buyer, administrator, retailer and trainer of future Professionals are just some of my job titles but the greatest satisfaction comes from interacting with the members and guests in a Golf Club environment.

I started off as a junior member at Halifax Golf in 2005 winning the Alan Dodsworth Junior open and Junior Club champion in my first full season at the club. I Started working for Dave in the Professional shop in 2007 and turned professional in 2011. I have just finished my PGA Foundation Degree. I was asked by the club in 2010 to be the Junior organiser which I gladly accepted. This is a position I love been involved with and it has allowed me to focus on developing the Juniors section at the golf club. My aim for this year is to use my skills in the local community and allow Children of all ages and backgrounds to enjoy the game of golf, through golf clinics in local schools and at parks.
I have already introduced Saturday Coaching sessions and Summer Schools.

I am passionate about the game of golf and my enthusiasm shines through in my teaching, the kids enjoy the learning process. When i'm fully qualified I aim to be a Head professional.
